If it is, I suppose i'll take it to a different dealer, have it fixed under warranty, and go back to the sketchy Chevy by my house with proof, and possibly a lawyer. I change oil every 3,00 miles, belts / hoses / coolant and tranny flush every other year. Please let me know if this looks like the water pump is leaking. Like the oil in your Cruze, coolant gets dirty over time and loses its ability to cool down your 1.4 liter engine. Just as a quick update to anyone who stumbles across this post, I've completed the following: Replaced Coolant Expansion Tank (Dorman part 603-383) - 29.99. Over the phone I was told if the water pump was bad, they would definitely want to fix it because they get paid extra because it's under warranty, however I'm not sure how true that is. Once I took my car to the dealer, they told me that my water pump was "completely dry" and if there was any coolant on it, its because my turbo lines are splashing onto it (geometrically impossible?) and that I should replace all of my turbo lines. I do have another leak that recently sprung up, and it's one of the coolant lines that runs to the turbo, this is VERY recent (within last week or so) and the water pump has been leaking for a few months, well before the turbo line started. I am aware of the special warranty coverage on our water pumps, and was anticipating taking it to the dealer and having it fixed for free. The thing is, it smells like burning oil, not coolant.
